Help For Parent

The Permanency Support Unit provides ongoing support to help families who remain the custodian(s) of their children, and are participating in case plan services through LCCS. The goal is to reduce and/or eliminate the safety risk(s) that caused the family to become involved with the agency, while the children can remain in their own home with their birth parents or legal custodian(s), without having to be removed and placed into foster care.

PSU workers partner with families, and through engagement and collaboration, help to:

  • Support to the family as well as the caseworker of record
  • Identify supportive networks for the family
  • Link families with services to address ongoing needs with parents and/or children
  • Bridge gaps and build trust between the family and other entities
