Foster Care Worker
Managerial/Professional Division

Lucas County Children Services (LCCS) is applications for a Foster Care Worker position who would provide casework services that support children in Agency foster care settings as well as provide a wide range of casework services to children and their foster families.

Candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field required. (i.e. Psychology, Criminal Justice, Education, Sociology)
  • Must be a Certified Adoption Assessor or have the ability to complete required Adoption Assessor Training within nine (9) months.
  • Experience in general casework, foster care, residential child care or child development program preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and reliable automobile required.
  • Personal cell phone for work use required.
  • Personal computer skills required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend work required.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural situations required
