Children in care are at a high risk for developmental delays, substance abuse, mental health concerns, and learning disorders. Foster and adoptive parents spend the most time with these children and are therefore in the best position to notice concerns. This workshop will review warning signs and symptoms of the most common problems in order to increase parents’ awareness. Each topic will include resources for more information, prevention, and the beginning steps of intervention.
