Information Release Processor
Legal Division

Lucas County Children Services (LCCS) is seeking candidates for an Information Release Processor. The accountabilities of this position are to effectively process requests for information from confidential client case files. To ensure that information from confidential case files is shared appropriately with requestors, in accordance with agency guidelines and state rules and regulations. To accurately arrange for the release of confidential case information to outside attorneys representing parents on court cases.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Demonstrated ability to type 45 WPM required. Data processing, word processing, clerical or Records Clerk experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to retrieve information from electronic databases required.
  • Knowledge of case file structure preferred. Demonstrated aptitude for detail required. Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and professionally and to maintain confidentiality required. Demonstrated ability to analyze situations and make appropriate judgments and decisions.
  • Demonstrated competency in spelling, grammar, and punctuation required. Ability to operate office equipment such as copiers, communication equipment, microfiche readers, etc. Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural work environment required.

Starting Pay: $18.52 per hour / 35 hours per week. We offer an excellent salary and benefit package.
