Out of Home Care Worker
Social Services Division

Lucas County Children Services (LCCS) is seeking candidates for our Out of Home Care Worker position. This position provides a wide range of casework services to abused, neglected, and dependent children and their families. Using a family-centered, neighborhood-based (FCNB) services approach, matches children in need of placement with LCCS/network foster care homes, group homes, or treatment institutions where the individual needs of children can be met.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associates degree in human services related studies required – i.e., Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, and Education.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings. Ability to work overtime, often with little or no prior notice.
  • Residential phone or Personal cell phone for work use required. Personal computer skills required.
  •  Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural situations required.

Starting Pay: $22.27 per hour/35 hours per week.
