Session 2: Knowing your rights within Children Services

This session provides an overview of the Child Protective Services (CPS) case process in Ohio, including what to expect if a court appearance is needed and the navigation of legal documents. Discussion may include: child welfare practice, including conducting investigations, providing ongoing family services, and working with families whose children are in foster care. Also, an explanation of Lucas County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) guardian ad litem is (GAL) will be given. Handouts, videos, or similar may be used to provide examples.
