Why Foster Parents Matter

You provide safety and stability
Children entering foster care often face uncertainty and fear. Your home can become a place where they feel secure, supported, and cared for.

You help children heal
Many children in foster care have experienced trauma, loss, or instability. Through patience, consistency, and compassion, you can help them rebuild trust and confidence.

You model healthy relationships
Everyday moments make a lasting impact. By listening, encouraging, and creating structure, you show children what healthy, supportive relationships look like.

You support families
Foster care is focused on helping families heal whenever possible. As a foster parent, you play an important role in supporting children’s connections with their biological families and encouraging successful reunification.

You advocate for a child’s future
From school and healthcare to emotional well-being and community support, foster parents help children access the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
